Prerequisites
- Admin access to your Notion workspace
- Admin or staff access to AGO

Connect your Notion workspace
- Navigate to Knowledge > Sources > Connections
- Click Connect with Notion
- In the Notion window, select the pages and databases you want to share with AGO
- Click Allow Access
You can change which pages are shared at any time from Notion’s integration settings.If there is no Connect with Notion button, this AGO instance has no Notion integration set up. Use an API token instead — see Notion Integration.

Create a source on that workspace
- Go to Knowledge > Sources > Create
- Name the source and select Notion
- Pick your workspace under Notion workspace
- Click Choose a page, browse the tree, and select the page or database to import
- Click Save

Wait for the Initial Sync
The first sync may take a few minutes depending on the volume of content.
- Track progress on the Sources page — the status indicator shows sync state
- Once complete, check the document count to verify the right content was imported

Verify Content Quality
- Navigate to Knowledge > Quality
- Filter by your Notion source
- Review quality scores for imported documents
- Fix any flagged issues at the source in Notion, then re-sync
- Nested toggles — deeply nested content may not import with full structure
- Database views — only the default view is imported
- Embedded content — external embeds (videos, iframes) are not imported

Assign to an Agent
- Navigate to AI Studio > Agents
- Edit your agent
- Under Knowledge Sources, select the Notion source
- Click Save
Ongoing Sync
AGO automatically syncs Notion content based on your configured schedule. When you update a page in Notion, the changes will appear in AGO after the next sync. To trigger a manual sync:- Go to Knowledge > Sources
- Click on your Notion source
- Click Sync Now
Troubleshooting
Removing a connection
Go to Knowledge > Sources > Connections and click Disconnect. AGO lists the sources that read through it first — they stop syncing until the workspace is connected again.Related
